How old do you need to be to go on the Aqua Park?

Age requirements is 6 years to 9 years (ratio of 1 adult with every 3 children in this age category). 10 years plus can enjoy the aqua park without adult supervision.

I wear glasses, can I wear these on the aqua park?

Wearing glasses is NOT permitted on the aqua park – contact lenses or prescription goggles are our recommended alternative. Swimming goggles are allowed on the park.

Footwear for participants

No Footwear is allowed on the aqua park but flip flops/trainers will be required for each person walking the short distance from the briefing room to the jetty.

Are there any health requirements?

On arrival during the safety briefing all participants will be asked if they suffer from any medical conditions rendering you unfit to take part in this physically exerting activity. This activity is not suitable for pregnant women.
You will need to be fit enough to pull yourself up out of the water, and it can be very tiring.

Can I leave the park mid session?

If you leave the park mid-session, for safety reasons you will NOT be able to rejoin the session. No refund will be given.

What times are you open?

What happens if it is too windy for the park to open?

We cannot open during high winds or adverse weather conditions (lightening). If we close the Aqua Park due to weather this is to ensure the safety of all customers.

How do I book?

How deep is the water?

Parts of the Lake can be very deep and areas of the Lake bed are unreachable, we recommend climbing out at designated safe areas.

Do I need to be able to swim?

As long as you are confident in water and can doggy paddle over to the Water Park you can participate as Buoyancy Aid is provided.

What facilities do you have on site?

We have male and female toilets and also changing rooms that have warm showers for after the Aqua Park.

You will need to be bring your own towels and shower gel.

How long before my session should I arrive?

Please arrive one hour before your session. You will need time to check in, get changed and take part in a safety brief. The meet up for the safety brief is 20 mins before the start of your session and if you miss the safety brief you will not be able to go onto the waterpark. If the later session has space we may be able to get you on but we cannot guarantee this.
PLEASE NOTE: It is your responsibility to arrive in good time. You are not eligible for a refund if you miss your session start time.

Can I book onto the Aqua Park for more than one session on the same day?

Yes you can, but you need to make separate bookings, and make us aware on arrival you have more than 1 session booked.

Can I cancel or change the time of my booking?

Up to 7 days beforehand you can email us to change the date or time of your booking or cancel. After this time your booking becomes non refundable or transferable.

Do I need to wear a wetsuit? what can I wear?

Wetsuits
Wetsuits are compulsory and included in the price.

Clothing Requirements
The only clothing you are allowed to wear is tight clothing, for example leggings, shorts, tight fitting t-shirts or vest tops etc. Unfortunately we cannot accept anybody wearing loose clothing as it presents a hazard.

Shoes
Shoes are not allowed on the Aqua Park and must be worn to the waters edge.

Jewellery
Jewellery must be removed before you enter the park. This includes ALL removable earrings. If you have recently had any piercings you must apply tape to cover them.

Wearable Cameras
Wearable Cameras can be used but ONLY secured by a chest harness. We cannot be held responsible for any damage or lost devices – wearing a camera is at your own risk.

What happens if I am stuck in traffic?

We are not responsible for your journey or traffic.

Unfortunately we cannot get you onto the park if you miss your briefing session at quarter to the hour. We will try our best to help you, but we cannot be held responsible for your arrival, please remember there are NO REFUNDS.

How long does a session last?

Each session lasts one hour.

Do the adults accompanying children have to pay?

Yes, they do.

Lost, Stolen or Damaged items.

The Lake Kilrea is Not Responsible for vehicles or personal
property Lost, Stolen or Damaged.

Can I bring my dog to the lake ?

Sorry but No, we have a strict No Dog policy onsite at The Lake.
(ONLY Guide Dogs & Assistance Dogs are Allowed).

What can I say this is one mighty spot went with a few family members and the crac was 90 and as for the big slide it’s gr8 crack I recommend any one to go there the staff are amazing and Richard is fantastic at his job safety is their first priority thanks for an amazing day we will be back next year ?????
