Emergency Response Planning

The Lake has evacuation and emergency procedures in place that all staff have been trained in. These can be provided upon request.

Emergency Procedure

In the event of an emergency or evacuation is required notice will be given by the Lifeguards or senior staff member on duty at The Lake.

It is essential that all participants take directions from our staff, who can be identified by their uniform (High Viz vests or The Lake tshirts ).

Staff will direct participants to the Emergency Assembly Area located next to the reception. From this area participants can then wait for further instructions from the Lake staff.

In the case of an injury The Lake has a First Aid Kit, spinal board and staff trained in First Aid on site. There is also an easily accessible well equipped Medical post located at reception and ambulance access located at the jetty entrance and reception car park.

Communication Strategies

The Lake has a mobile phone and landline located on site at the The Lake office, a megaphone as well as walkie talkies & whistles to communicate with participants on the WaterPark . The Lake staff will be on duty to assist if required and the reception staff is also the contact person in the case of a first-aid emergency.

The Lake lifeguards and certain landstaff have First Aid training and basic First Aid equipment is on hand in an emergency.
